The Build

'The Build' finally started 20 July 2016 with the land cut being completed, which left us with 70 tonnes of soil to get removed.

Drainage was done and completed on 05 August 2016.

Piering was done 15 August 2016.

 

Waffle pods and Steel Mesh Reinforcing on 16 August 2016.

 

Slab poured on 17 August 2016.

 

Frames delivered on 22 August 2016.

Frame construction started 24 August 2016.

Frame construction is at the halfway point 31 August 2016, there was a hold up on another house which delayed the construction of our frame. It should be finished today 01 September 2016, we will go out on the weekend and have a look.

Got a message on Friday saying the frame has been completed, went out over the weekend and it is all up, windows hopefully today and then its time for the bricks.

We have bricks onsite, they were delivered last week and we have brick layers scheduled to start 28th of September 2016, lets hope the weather is good and we don't have any delays. The bricks are from Austral Bricks and are the Urban One Chiffon.

Bricks have started while we were on holidays, come back to see the house half bricked, the western and northern (back) sides are all but finished. The southern (front) and eastern sides are about 1/3 done.

 

The bricks have been finished, the guttering should start this week and the roof next week.

The roof and guttering are all complete, its starting to look like a house :) now its time for the rough in.

 

Lock up has started, front and back doors are on and the Soffit has been installed. Electrical rough in has started.
